PURPOSE:To surely detach a residual developer from a sleeve even if the spacing between a main pole and scooping up electrode is decreased by miniaturization by additionally disposing two pieces of intermediate poles and one piece of intermediate conveying pole to respective specific positions. CONSTITUTION:The main pole 12, the scooping up pole 14, the upper conveying pole 15 and the lower conveying pole 13 are disposed in the developing sleeve 3. The 1st and 2nd intermediate poles 16, 17 are further disposed between the lower conveying pole 13 and the scooping up pole 14 in addition to said magnetic poles and are set respectively as N poles. One intermediate conveying pole 18 is provided in the position nearly opposite to the poles 16, 17 and are set as S poles. The shielding of magnetic fields is surely executed between the poles 16 and 17 by disposing such magnetic poles. The residual developer is surely detached from the sleeve 3 even if the spacing between the main pole 12 and the scooping up electrode 14 is narrowed by the miniaturization.
