Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a compromise means satisfying an important restriction as sufficiently as possible by forming a resolution means satisfying the strongest restriction with priority out of all restrictions. CONSTITUTION:The titled system is provided with a knowledge storing means 4 for storing knowledge necessary for inferring a resolution means, a goal storing means 6 for storing a goal for the effect of a resolution, a restriction storing means 2 for storing plural restrictions having difference strength for a resolution and an inference means 3 for inputting a problem 1 and forming the set 5 of resolution means. The means 3 tries to form the resolution means for satisfying all the plural restrictions having different strength by using knowledge stored in the means 4, and when the resolution means satisfying all the restrictions does not exist, tries to form a resolution means for satisfying the strongest restriction with priority. Namely, restrictions are successively invalidated from the weakest restriction to try to form a resolution. Consequently, a weak restriction can be also specified and a flexible and excellent resolution means can be inferred.
