Abstract

PURPOSE: To correct sideways misconvergence along the X axis by connecting a saturable reactor consisting of a pair of coils with a horizontally deflecting coil and a correction mag. field generator, and thereby supplying current, changing differentially at horizontally deflecting periods, to a pair of coils of correction mag. field generator.
CONSTITUTION: A saturable reactor 2 is composed of a pair of coils 2a, 2b, which are wound on drum type magnetic cores 5, 5' so that the directions of magnetism are opposite to each other and which are connected parallelly, and a cylindrical magnet 4 to give magnetic bias to these coils 2a, 2b. The coils 2a, 2b are connected in series with another pair of coils 3a, 3b respectively, which constitutes a correction mag. field generator 3. Therefore, the current flowing in the coils 3a, 3b varies differentially at horizontally deflecting periods in response to differential change at horizontally deflecting periods of the impedance of the coils 2a, 2b.
