Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a low-viscosity isocyanate end prepolymer containing an isocyanate group and excellent compatibility with castor oil-based polyol, by reacting a MDI-based liquid polyisocyanate with a castor oil-based monool. CONSTITUTION:A MDI-based liquid polyisocyanate (preferably polymerized MDI) is mixed with a castor oil-based monool preferably in an inert gas atmosphere under heating at 60-160 deg.C for 3-6hr to give an isocyanate end prepolymer which contains two or more isocyanate groups, is a polyol component for a two-pack type solventless urethane system useful for electric insulation and adhesion, has excellent compatibility with castor oil-based monool and provides a cured material having excellent physical properties.
