Abstract

PURPOSE:To directly obtain the titled polyamide, having excellent heat resistance and useful as a material for graft polymers without protecting functional groups, by using a dicarboxylic acid and diamine having a different kind of functional group in either thereof and specific condensing agent. CONSTITUTION:(A) A dicarboxylic acid and (B) a diamine having a different kind of functional group in at least one thereof are used and reacted in the presence of (C) diphenyl (2,3-dihydro-2-thio-benzoxazole) phosphate expressed by formula I or diphenyl(2,3-dihydro-2-oxobenzothiazolyl)phosphate expressed by formula II as a condensing agent. Furthermore, the component (A) having the different kind of functional group is preferably 5-aminoisophthalic acid or 5-hydroxyisophthalic acid and the component (B) having the above-mentioned functional group is 3,5-diaminobenzoic acid.
