Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a short circuit between a back electrode and a transparent electrode and any separation of those electrodes at time of high temperature driving from occurring by applying the back electrode to a transferring substrate and, after being dried up, transferring and forming it to the substrate side.
CONSTITUTION: When an element is formed on a glass substrate 1 and a back electrode 5 is formed with conductive paste, conductive paste 5' of at least silver, copper or the like is once applied onto a transfer substrate 8 and, after being dried up, it is transferred to the substrate side at time of forming the back electrode 5. That is to say, since the conductive paste 5' is dried on the transfer substrate 8, it is not diffused at time of the transfer. Consequently, the back electrode 5 consisting of the conductive paste 5' is formable without short-circuiting it to a transparent electrode 2. And, at time of high temperature driving, separation of the electrode 5 is brought to nothing. With this constitution, such a distributed type electroluminescent element that is high in reliability is securable.
