Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacture and assembly of a device without using U-shaped pipes by connecting both ends of a plurality of distributing pipes arranged in parallel each other in each closed type heat exchanger to connecting straight pipes at the common supply and discharge sides. CONSTITUTION:The supply and discharge parts of a closed type heat exchanger B are formed into connecting straight pipes 20, 21 and at right angles to these pipes a plurality of distributing straight pipes 22 for treated water are arranged in parallel. The pipes 20, 21 are removably accommodated and held one by one in supporting rails 14 for the connecting pipes, which are horizontal to side plates 13 and installed at equal distances vertically. Each of the pipes 20, 21 is closed at one end and removably connected to a supply header 15 and a discharge header 16 at the other end. Treated water sent to the header 15 is distributed to the pipe 20 and flows into the pipes 22 simultaneously. The treated water cooled at the pipes 22 is collected at the pipe 21 and flows into the header 16 and then is supplied to a load part. Cleaning and the repair and exchange of damaged parts are carried out after the connection between the common heaters 15, 16 and the pipes 20, 21 are released and the pipes 20, 21 are pulled out from the rails 14 individually and removed from the plates 13 of the mainbody 12 of a cooling tower.
