Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent pollution, to save resource and to prevent noise, by employing a superconducting coil as a propulsion power source for automobile. CONSTITUTION:A coil 5 made of superconducting material is excited through cooling material into superconducting state. Switches 4, 7 are turned OFF while a switch 2 is turned ON based on commands fed from a control circuit 9, so as to feed current from an external charger 2 to the coil 5. Then the switch 2 is turned OFF while the switch 4 is turned ON to feed permanent circulation current to the coil 5. Thereafter, the control circuit 9 detects an acceleration command fed from an automobile driver and a current automobile speed signal so as to turn only the switch 7 ON while turning the switch 4 OFF thus feeding power to an external load 8.
