Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable automatic production of SASADANGO by binding the DANGOs wrapped with bamboo leaves with sedge strings at its both ends through a specific process using a binding machine. CONSTITUTION:A sedge string A is positioned in front of the bamboo leaves wrapping a DANGO which is clamped with the clamping part a1 and the arm 31 holding the half way of the string A is turned to wind the string A around one end of the DANGO. Then, the arm 31 is allowed to rotate by 180 deg. and move to the other end of the DANGO and turned reversely to wind the string A around the other end. Then, the DANGO is pulled out half from the clamp a1 to wind the sedge string A around the middle part of the DANGO, and one end of the string A is passed through a string ring on the arm 31 and pulled to form the binding knot at the center.
