Abstract

PURPOSE:To certainly bring the coal slurry delivered from a coal slurry storage tank to a normal state generating no sedimentation and flocculation, by providing a crushing means for a flocculated precipitate to a coal slurry delivery pipe. CONSTITUTION:A crusher 16 for crushing a flocculated precipitate 4 is mounted on the downstream side of the pump 5 of a pipe 6. Even when the flocculated precipitate generated in the dead water area of a storage tank is mixed with an aqueous coal slurry to be delivered, a normal aqueous slurry is obtained by the crusher 16 and a part thereof is returned to the storage tank 1 by a recirculation pipe 17 while the remainder is sent to a boiler through the pipe 6. When it is unnecessary to transport the coal slurry to the boiler, only tank recirculation is performed and it is possible to achieve the enhancement of the quality of the aqueous coal slurry. The crusher 16 is constituted of a high speed rotary blade 21 and a fixed blade 22 and the inflow flocculated precipitate receives high shearing force at the gap between the rotary blade 21 and the fixed blade 22 when passes through a route 24 and the original normal aqueous coal slurry is formed to be delivered.
