Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily assure the severe mounting accuracy of holograms by forming the holograms integrally with IC substrates. CONSTITUTION:The transparent substrate 21 consisting of glass or acryl, etc., is imposed via a 1st hologram 31 and the 2nd hologram 33 on a 1st substrate 10 having a laser light source (GaAs laser) 11 and the 2nd substrate 13 having a photodetector (photodiode) 15. Namely, the diffracted light entering the transparent substrate 21 propagates toward the right while repeating total reflections at points 23 on the front face and the rear face of the substrate 21. The diffracted light is diffracted again in the prescribed directions when the diffracted light comes to the part of the 2nd hologram 33. This light is converged to the photodetector 15. The diffraction direction of the 2nd hologram 33 is such a direction where the diffracted light from the substrate 21 is entered to the photodetector 15 by the 2nd hologram 33. The total reflections within the substrate 21 are assured by the diffraction directions of the light by the 1st hologram and the difference in the refractive index from the outside of the substrate 21.
