Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the product property and the production yield rate of a fluorescent display tube by specifying the amount of alumina, alkylsilicate, and water glass as binding promoter to the graphite powder. CONSTITUTION:To 1wt.pt. of the graphite powder, 0.1 to 2.0wt.pt. of alumina, 0.001 to 0.5wt.pt. of alkylsilicate (as the amount of Si), and 0 to 0.25wt.pt. of water glass are included as a binding promoter. That is, by adding the alkylsilicate as a binding promoter, the sintering property of the graphite paste is excellent even though the content of the water glass is reduced less than halt the amount of the conventional graphite paste, or made zero. Consequently, the paste can be used for the manufacture process of a fluorescent display tube, and the content of the alkaline metal component can be extremely reduced or made zero. The product property of a fluorescent display tube (brightness and luminous efficiency) can be improved and the production yield rate can be increased accordingly.
