Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the installation of an interphone device and to make its wiring inconspicuous by generating a frequency multiplex signal consisting of either of an interphone speech signal and a monitor image signal as a base- band transmission signal and the other as a carrier transmission signal using a carrier of relatively low frequency.
CONSTITUTION: An interphone slave equipment 2 is provided with a signal composing means 6 which generates the frequency multiplex signal consisting of the interphone speech Vi as the base-band transmission signal and the monitor signal Vp as the carrier transmission signal Vp' using the carrier of relatively low frequency (8MHz). Further, an interphone master equipment 5 is provided with a signal separating means 7 which separates the frequency multiplex signal Vip to obtain the interphone speech signal Vi and monitor image signal Vp. Then the frequency multiplex signal Vip is transmitted through an interphone speech line 3a wired between the interphone slave equipment 2 and interphone master equipment 5. Consequently, only the interphone speech line needs to be wired, so the installation is facilitated.
