Abstract

PURPOSE:To restart the voice conference instantly by giving a cancel quantity before changeover to a line echo canceller as an initial value so as to restart the learning in restoring the voice conference. CONSTITUTION:When a line switching signal DS is inputted, a learning stop command BS is outputted to the line echo canceller 4 to store a tap coefficient just before the stop into a RAM and then a subscriber telephone line 7 is thrown to the position of a facsimile equipment 8 from the position of a side tone prevention circuit 5. When the communication of the facsimile equipment 8 is finished, the subscriber telephone line 7 is restored from the facsimile equipment 8 to the side tone prevention circuit 5, a learning restart command is outputted to the line echo canceller 4 to use the tap coefficient stored in the RAM as the initial value thereby restarting the learning. Thus, the changeover to the facsimile equipment 8 is attained very naturally without causing any adverse effect to the voice conference.
