Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify circuit constitution, control, etc., regarding correction line memory control by providing a digital line memory for deviation correction outside a line image sensor at need.
CONSTITUTION: The line image sensor 1 is constituted by arranging zigzag CCD line image sensor chips 2∼5 having 1024 picture elements of 62.5×62.5μm size as photosensitive parts. Then CCD line image sensor chips 2 and 4 are provided with analog line memories 6 and 7 for correction respectively. A read signal whose require deviation correction is supplied to a data selector 11a and a read signal which does not require deviation correction is supplied to a data selector 11b. Read signals from the data selectors 11a 11b are converted by A-D converters 12a and 12b into digital signals. Consequently, a fast, high- efficiency correction processing circuit is constituted.
