Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a sealing material having a color similar to that of copper plates of a roof by mixing copper powder and brass powder of predetermined grain sizes into a silicon-based sealing material. CONSTITUTION: This copper-colored sealing material is formed by mixing 1-15 wt.% copper powder and brass powder of mesh grain sizes of 100-350 into a silicon-based sealing material. As the seating material has a color similar to that of copper plates when the joint parts and gaps of a roof covered with copper plates are sealed with the sealing material, the sealing material becomes inconspicuous to make its appearance satisfactory. In addition, the sealing material changes with time following the copper plates, it is possible to eliminate incongruity after changes with time.
