Abstract

PURPOSE: To open a window while shading solar radiation by a method wherein barlike bodies holding a plurality of blades arranged horizontally at stated intervals and rods connecting each of the blades at positions near the end of its long side are made bendable approximately at their middle parts and an eaves is formed by folding up the barlike bodies and the rods. CONSTITUTION: For a folding blind as mentioned in the title, a plurality of blades 1 are arranged horizontally with stated intervals provided vertically and each of the blades 1 is turnably held approximately at the center of its short side with two barlike bodies 2, and hinges 3 are provided respectively at the middle part of the barlike bodies 2. Furthermore, each of the blades 1 is turnably connected at the end of its long side to rods 4 and hinges 5 are provided respectively at the center of the rods 4. Then, the folding blind is held with hinges at the inside of a frame 6 and the blades 1 are made simultaneously turnable by moving up and down the rods 4 and furthermore, the blind is made bendable in a shape of dogleg at the hinges 3 and 5 within the frame 6 by sliding upward and downward rollers 9 attached to the lower end shafts 8 of the barlike bodies 2, and thereby an eaves can be formed.
