Abstract

PURPOSE:To tighten a screw when the position of a screw mounting hole is not accurate by making the hole diameter of a throughhole larger than that of the screw along the length thereof and forming a ring-shaped rib having the inner diameter smaller than that of the screw at the center of the throughhole. CONSTITUTION:A screw 3 meets the position of a rib 5 when inserted into a throughhole 2. Because the screw 3 is held in the throughhole 2 under this condition, a hand holding the screw can be released. By tightening further, the screw 3 advances while cutting the rib 5 by the screw threads until it meets a mounting hole 4. At this point, the tightening is complete. Although the screw 8 is out of the mounting hole 4, it does not drop out of the throughhole 5 because it is held by the rib 5. The screw 3 is held by the rib 5 which is located at the center of the throughhole, but because the inner diameter of the throughhole 2 is larger than that of the screw 3, the screw 3 can rotate in the range of an angle with the rib 5 as a pivot, and therefore, it can be tightened even if the position of the screw mounting hole 4 is not accurate.
