Abstract

CONSTITUTION:When a trunk line is connected to an extension set 51 to be called by an attendant board 4, the operator of the attendant board 4 enters part of the extension identification information comprising numerals, characters or symbols to a central control unit 2 by an input and display device 6. The control unit 2 accesses a storage device 3 to read the allocated location information of the extension set 51 corresponding to the inputted extension identification information and displays all the extension identification information on the device 6 of the attendant board 4. In this case, if the extension 51 is idle, the control unit 2 controls a channel switch 1 based on the allocated location information to connect the attendant board 4 and the extension set 51. Thus, it is not required to check the extension number and the trunk line is connected to the called extension.
