Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an invariably stable speed distribution and to measure an accurate flow meter by providing air ventilation resistances which are nearly proportional to the velocities of fluid at respective parts in the section of an upstream flow passage nearby a straightening vanes at matching positions respectively. CONSTITUTION:An air flowmeter 1 is formed by arranging a heating resistor 4 and a resistance body 5 for temperature compensation in a small venturi 8 through support pins 6a and 6b, and 7a and 7b. The straightening vanes 11 is fixed on the upstream side of a duct 9 with a spring 12 and many holes which are determined by investigating air ventilation resistances of respective hole parts experimentally corresponding to the upstream flow velocity distribution of the air flowmeter 1 are bored in the straightening vanes 11. One end of each of the support pins 6a and 6b, and 7a and 8b is connected to an electronic circuit 10.
