Abstract

PURPOSE:To use one key input device for a computer and a typewriter by uniting the computer and typewriter and using one keyboard in common, and providing a mode changeover switch for selecting computer processing or typewriter processing. CONSTITUTION:When the mode changeover switch 11 is set to a computer (PC) mode, a set state is supplied to the microcomputer 21 of a typewrite control part 13 through the microcomputer 20 and a print command from a host computer 17 is expected to be received. The host computer 17 inputs a key signal through the microcomputer 20, performs various data processes, and stores generated data in a RAM 23, and the data are outputted to a printer mechanism 25 according to the print command form a keyboard part to drive a typewriter mechanism, thereby printing the data.
