Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform diagnosis due to a sound signal when high speed blood flow is measured and to obtain diagnostic data having higher accuracy, by successively storing a Doppler signal by a band compressing circuit and successively reading the Doppler signal at a speed slower than the writing speed at the time of memory.
CONSTITUTION: A probe 1 transmits an ultrasonic wave to a living body A and receives the echo signal from the living body A. Transmission and reception are performed between a Doppler signal detection part 2 and the probe 1 and a Doppler signal is detected from the echo signal received by the probe 1 to perform processing such as frequency analysis. A CRT 3 displays the Doppler signal analyzed in frequency by the Doppler signal detection part 2 in a form of a sonagram. A band compressing circuit 4 compress the band of the Doppler signal D outputted from the Doppler signal detection part 2. That is, the Doppler signal is successively stored by the band compressing circuit 4 and successively read at a speed slower than the writing speed at the time of memory and, therefore, the frequency of the Doppler signal is lowered to be able to be compressed into audible frequency.
