Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled coating usable as a material for e.g. resistors sealed to circuit boards, optimum for pad printing, by formulating electrically conductive powder, a butyral resin-contg. binder resin and solvent. CONSTITUTION:The objective coating can be obtained by formulating (A) 80-30 pts.wt. of electrically conductive powder (e.g. carbon black), (B) 10-60pts.wt. of a binder resin containing 0.1-10wt.% of butyral resin, and (C) 10-30pts.wt. of a mixed solvent comprising (i) 100pts.wt. of a component with a boiling point of 150-220 deg.C (e.g. cyclohexanol), (ii) 10-40pts.wt. of a second component with a boiling point of 110-150 deg.C (e.g. butyl acetate) and (iii) 5-20pts.wt. of a third component with a boiling point of 60-110 deg.C (e.g., ethyl acetate).
