Abstract
PURPOSE:To melt spin the titled polymer at a low cost without heating in a drawing step, by melt discharging a thermoplastic polymer, slowly cooling the discharged yarn in a heating cylinder of a specific length at a specific temperature provided just under a spinneret and taking off the yarn with unheated rollers near the outlet of the heating cylinder at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic polymer is melt spun and without once winding directly drawn. In the process, the molten polymer is discharged from a spinneret 1, slowly cooled in a heating cylinder 3 having 30-80cm length at an atmospheric temperature (T) within the range of >= the glass transition temperature (Tg)-<= the melting point (Tm) near a spun yarn 2 in the interior thereof provided just under the spinneret. Warm air streams are flowed from the upper part of the heating cylinder 3 and the yarn is taken off with unheated rollers 6 and 7 provided near the outlet of the heating cylinder 3 at >=5,000m/min speed to carry out melt spinning of the thermoplastic polymer.
