Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain stable photographic characteristics of a sensitive material during storage by incorporating a high molecular compd. contg. repeating units each having an oxazole residue into at least one of the constituent layers. CONSTITUTION:A high molecular compd. contg. repeating units each having an oxazole residue is incorporated into at least one layer of a silver halide photographic sensitive material. That is, the compd. is incorporated into a constituent layer of the sensitive material and the most pref. layer is a silver halide emulsion layer. The amt. of the compd. used is not especially limited and generally the compd. is used by about 10<-9>-10<-3>mol., especially 10<-8>-5X10<-4>mol. (expressed in terms of oxazole residues) per 1m<2> support. Even when the sensitive material is stored under severe conditions, fogging can be prevented and the sensitivity and gamma can be maintained.
