Abstract

PURPOSE:To uniformize contact pressure in a pressing part toward a recording medium by rotatively fixing and supporting the both ends of one out of pair nip rollers provided in parallel with each other and pressure-contacting the other nip roller movably by means of a fixed nip roller. CONSTITUTION:A pressurizing transfer device 88 is provided with the fixed nip roller 82 rotatively supported and possessing a width L1 of 210-350mm and a diameter D1 of 30-50mm, the free nip roller 80 arranged in parallel with the fixed nip roller 82 and possessing a width L2>=L1 and a diameter D2=D1/1.6-D1/1.3, and a backup roller 84 possessing a width L3=L1/3+ or -10mm and press-contacting the free nip roller 82. Thus one backup nip roll can uniformize pressure caused in the pressing part of a pair of parallel pressurizing nip rollers, whereby the pressurizing transfer part can be reduced in its weight.
