Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate an artificial judgement and to improve toner concentration control accuracy and temperature control accuracy by detecting variables of toner concentration, fixing roller temperature, etc., by variable detecting means, comparing the detected values with previously stored reference values, and controlled the variables. CONSTITUTION:The toner concentration is detected as the inductance value of a coil for detection and converted into an analog voltage by a detecting circuit 14. This analog voltage is converted by an A/D converter 15 into a digital signal and the output of the A/D converter 15 is stored in a storage circuit exclusively as a set value. This set value is applied as the set value of a comparing circuit 17 and toner concentration as the variable obtained by converting the output of the converting circuit 14 by the A/D converter 15 is applied to the comparator 17 as an input to be compared. The comparator 17, therefore, generates a toner concentration control output by using the value stored in the storage circuit 16 as the set value. Consequently, the reference value of a controller is easily set and no artificial judgement is required, so the control is performed with the correct set values.
