Abstract

PURPOSE:To restrain generation of heat due to slip at an interface between respective blocks and a tension belt, by a method wherein a pair of tension belts is fitted to the left and right fitting parts of a multitude of blocks, and block holding parts are formed by injection or compression molding method through respective upper and lower gaps between neighboring blocks. CONSTITUTION:A multitude of blocks 2 is arranged sequentially in series. A pair of tension belts 1, consisting of endless flat belts, into which core wires 1a are embedded, is fitted to the left and right fitting parts 2a of respective blocks 2 from the widthwise direction thereof. Respective blocks 2 and the tension belts 1 are retained simply. Thereafter, resin, rubber or the like for bonding is poured by injection or compression molding method through respective gaps G formed between the main bodies 3a, 3a of the reinforcing members of neighboring blocks 2, 2 to mold block holding parts 5 whereby respective blocks 2 are bonded to the tension belts 1 and a V-belt A is manufactured. When the belt is bent along the groove of the belt for a pulley, slip will never be generated in an interface between the blocks 2 and respective tension belts 1 whereby generation of heat due to friction can be restrained.
