Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a coating readily releasable from a forged part in a cooling process after heating and forging, by adding a metal oxide to glass components consisting essentially of B2O3, SiO2 and Na2O. CONSTITUTION:Glass components consisting essentially of B2O3, SiO2 and Na2O are blended with a metal oxide to give a coating material. The preferable content ratio of the glass components is 20-60wt.% B2O3, 24-70wt.% SiO2 and 10-50wt.% and Na2O. (i) 0.1-20wt.% oxide of one or more metals of Cu, Ag, Au, Cs, Zn, Ba, Ti, V, Ta, Mo, Mn, Fe, Co and Ni and (ii) 0.1-30wt.% oxide of one or more metals of Li, K, Rb, Mg, Ca, Sr, La, Al, P and Se are used as the metal oxide and added to the glass components.
