Abstract

PURPOSE: To separate between upper and lower trays and to simply conduct an ice separation by guiding an emulsified part of concentrated impurities via a communicating slot to an icemaking lower tray side by an inclination of a bottom, forming a transparent water in an ice particle forming chamber, and providing protruding ribs engaged between the upper and lower trays. CONSTITUTION: A lower side recess chamber 14a and a gap space 36 formed via a partition wall 15 of an upper icing tray 13 and a bottom 14c of a lower icing tray 14 are partitioned by ribs 34, 35 integrally molded with the trays 13, 14. Thus, invasion of water poured from an upper surface opening of the tray 13 of an icing container 12 into the space 36 and generation of gap ice are prevented, and ice lumps of the tray 13 and ice lumps containing impurities of the lower tray are coupled via a communicating slot 16. Accordingly, the lumps of the tray 13 and the lumps of the tray 14 are separated only by a small force. And, since the space 36 is an air layer, the tray 13 can be deformed, twisted or the like. And, at the time of twisting the tray 13, the wall 15 of the space 36 is simultaneously twisted, and the lumps can be simply separated from the tray 13.
