Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a highly sensitive sensor with an improved S/N ratio of a flow rate signal, by driving a heat generating body by an AC signal with a specified frequency to obtain a flow rate signal by selecting of a signal with the frequency the same as a drive AC signal from a temperature measurement signal. CONSTITUTION:A heat generating body (a) contacting a fluid is driven by an AC signal with a specified frequency f0 from a drive circuit means (b). The temperature of the heat generating body (a) is measured by a temperature measuring means (c) and a frequency component signal to be identified as a heat generating body drive AC signal is selected with a bandpass filter (d) from the temperature measurement signal to obtain a flow rate signal. In this case, when a power of a drive signal of the heat generating body (a) is fixed, the amplitude of the signal changes depending on the flow rate of a fluid, providing an amplitude modulation type in substance. This eliminates the most of a heat noise component from a temperature sensor and a noise component of a preamplifier thereby producing a highly sensitive sensor with an improved in the S/N ratio of the flow rate signal.
