Abstract

PURPOSE:To promote a coloring reaction by projecting an image forming light on a light receiving sheet, thereby curing a microcapsule and then, by heating said sheet, overlapping said sheet with an image receiving sheet which is coated with a developing material, followed by pressurizing the overlapped sheet. CONSTITUTION:The light receiving sheet 5 coated with the microcapsule enclosing a light polymerization initiator and a colorless dyestuff is exposed on an exposure belt 1 with a reflected light coming from an original 71, and a cured image is formed on said sheet by exposure. And, the light receiving sheet 5 is transferred to a heating device 2. And, the image receiving sheet 6 coated with a developer is pulled out from a cassette 61 for supplying paper, followed by transferring to a heating device 2, and then, the light receiving sheet 5 and the image receiving sheet 6 are heated by the heating apparatus 2, overlapping said sheets with each other. Subsequently, the overlapped sheets are pressurized with a pressure roller 3, followed by forming a colored image on the image receiving sheet 6. Accordingly, as the light receiving sheet and the image receiving sheet are heated before beeing pressurized, the sticking property between said sheets is improved, and the generation of a wrinkle on the image receiving sheet is prevented, and the flux of a dyestuff from the microcapsule facilitates, thereby forming satisfactorily a colored image.
