Abstract

PURPOSE: To protect an image transferred onto a transferring material from rubbing with the rear face of the transferring material by separating a pair of rollers when the transferring material is carried through aligning rollers.
CONSTITUTION: When a paper P is separated by a pair of separation rollers 8a, 8b and fed to aligning rollers 9a, 9b, a gear 33 rotates in the direction A so as to rotate a lever 39 upward thus lifting the shaft 43 of the separation roller 8a. Since the separation roller 8a is moved upward when the paper P arrives to the aligning rollers 9a, 9b, the paper P is not pushed against a lower paper P through self-weight of the separation roller 8a. Consequently, contamination of an image transferred onto the paper P due to rubbing with the rear face of the paper P can be prevented reliably.
