Abstract

PURPOSE:To directly and continuously measure the viscosity of a fluid without providing a bypass, and also, to simplify the device at low cost by attaching a flat to a vibration type viscometer having a sensitive plate, and floating it on the upper face of a fluid in a line tank. CONSTITUTION:A capsule B is floated by a flat C on the upper face 27 of a fluid in a mixing tank 2. In such a case, sensitive plates 10, 10' are inserted into prescribed depth from the fluid upper face 27. This depth can be adjusted from the outside by a graduation 28 of the outside surface of the float C, by bringing a vibration type viscometer A to an up-and-down motion by turning a screw 20. By an inflow control valve and a discharge valve, the liquid quantity in the mixing tank 2 increases or decreases, but the capsule B moves up and down by following up the up-and-down motion of the fluid upper face 27, and in a state that the sensitive plates 10, 10' are always inserted into prescribed depth from the fluid upper face 27, the viscosity of a liquid can be measured continuously. In such a way, the viscosity of a liquid can be measured directly and continuously without providing a bypass, and also, the device can be simplified at low cost.
