Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable outputting of a graphic image only in a desired area at speeds corresponding to the size of the graphic image to be drawn, while improving the drawing speed, by processing data of the graphic image per every divided area of a read/write memory. CONSTITUTION:On the basis of the data of a graphic image recorded in a work RAM 8, a graphic circuit 10 designates a desired character font to be recorded in CGRAM 9 as a memory means. The character font is then applied to a parallel/serial conversion circuit 11 via a bus line 14. Accordingly, the data indicating the outputting position of the graphic image is given to an address designating part from the graphic circuit 10. To an attribute controlling circuit 13, such attribution data as enlargement printing, reduction printing, emphasized printing, etc., are imparted by the graphic circuit 10. On the other hand, serial data are subjected to processing correspondingly to the attribution data and added to a buffer 12. The buffer 12 temporarily keeps the data to output the same as image signals. In a laser printer or the like, image data of one raster line are imparted respectively, for example, to bufferes 12a and 12b which alternately output signals, thereby realizing high-speed printing.
