Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a turning force corresponding to the operating quantity of a steering lever by continuously varying the transmitting condition of driving force, transmission stopping condition of the driving force, and the feeding condition of braking force in accordance with the operating quantity of the steering lever. CONSTITUTION:As a solenoid SOL1 is driven in a selector valve 16, a pressure oil fed from a tank 18 is introduced into a left side cylinder 12a. And, a piston 13a is moved in the arrow A direction operating a link 11 to release the engagement between an output gear 5a and an internal gear 4, stopping the transmission of driving force. When a solenoid SOL 3 is driven with the selector valve 16 being at P1, a brake shoe 5c is brought into contact with a brake 7a feeding braking force to an output shaft 5a. Thus, a steering device 1 can be brought into either of the conditions of turning and stopping by means of the solenoids SOL1, SOL2, and SOL3, each of which are formed to carry out a defined operation according to an output controlled by a computer.
