Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize the best running on a sloping road by selecting one shift map, corresponding to a detected tilt angle of a road surface, from a memory means and controlling a shift position of a transmission being based on the selected shift map. CONSTITUTION:An electronic type automatic speed change control device inputs to its CPU28 each signal from a shift position detecting switch 21, running mode selector 22, car speed sensor 23, throttle opening sensor 24 and a tilt sensor 25, controlling a shift solenoid in a hydraulic control unit and performing a required speed change. Here in accordance with the tilt angle theta of a road surface in the advancing direction of a vehicle detected by the tilt sensor 25, selecting a shift map stored in a ROM30, and being based on this selected shift map, a shift solenoid pattern signal is output to the hydraulic control unit, controlling a shift position in a transmission. In this way, with no necessity for performing a complicated control, the best running on a sloping road can be always attained.
