Abstract

PURPOSE:To completely attain a seal by integrally forming the first lip of V-shaped section, forced to come into press contact with a cylinder wall with an interference increased by a pressure of oil, with the second lip, which is forced to come into press contact with the cylinder wall in a piston side protruding in the radial direction, through a constricted part between the cylinder wall and the seal. CONSTITUTION:An oil seal 20 forms by integral molding the first lip 21 in the inner side of a cylinder 8 and the second lip 22 in the side of a piston 9 through a constricted part 23. Ths first lip 21 forms its section into V shape spreading toward the inner side of the cylinder 8, having roundness in a part brought into contact with cylinder walls 8a, 8b. The second lip 22 is protruded in the radial direction from a flat surface 25, adapted to a piston end surface 9a, so as to provide an interference between the cylinder walls 8a, 8b and the oil seal 20. The constricted part 23 is formed so as to provide a clearance between the cylinder walls 8a, 8b and the oil seal 20. This oil seal 20 is formed by integral molding. Accordingly, the whole unit of the oil seal is prevented from tilting, surely attaining its seal.
