Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of stress corrosion crack by arranging a heat releaser in a determined position in a piping system of a plant which is constituted by stainless steel and is in the condition of an upward inclination near the connecting part and being closed at the other end. CONSTITUTION: A heat releaser 1 is arranged in pipe 2 made of low carbon austenite stainless steel, which is branched from process piping system 5. Most of steam rising up in the piping system is condensed at the hear releaser 1 and drops, so the steam stops rising. As temperature of piping ahead of the heat releaser does not rise owing to the stop of the steam, factor of the stress corrosion crack disappears.
