Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition containing a polymerizable compound, polymer, etc., a catalyst consisting of a tertiary amine and peroxide, etc., and using N,N'-di(3-hydroxypropyl)-p-toluidine as the tertiary amine with hardly any coloration. CONSTITUTION:A dental polymer composition consisting of (A) a polymerizable compound (preferably methacrylate monomer), (B) a polymer (mainly acrylic beads polymer) and/or filler and (C) a catalyst component using N,N'-di(2- hydroxypropyl)-p-toluidine as a tertiary amine. This composition holds operability, curability and physical properties of cured products similar to those of conventional compositions with hardly any coloration to yellow color. A redox based catalyst consisting of a peroxide catalyst and the above-mentioned tertiary amine or a visible ray curable based catalyst consisting of an alpha-diketone and the afore-mentioned tertiary amine is used as the catalyst ingredient (C).
