Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I [R1 is H, lower alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl which may be substituted, heterocyclic group which may be substituted; R2 is R1 except H atom] and its salt.
EXAMPLE: 1, 2-Dihydro-1-( 4-methoxyphenyl )-2-( 4-methoxyphenyl )cyclo-heptimida zole hydrochloride.
USE: Medicines. Anti-inflammatory or analgesic.
PREPARATION: For example, an isocyanate or isothiocyanate of the formula: R1NCQ1 (Q1 is O, S) or R2NCQ1 is allowed to react with an amine of the formu la NH2-R1 or NH2-R2 to form a urea or thiourea of formula IV. The product is subjected to dehydration or dehydrosulfidization to give a novel carbodiimide derivative of formula II, and the product is allowed to react with 2-aminotropon of formula III in the absence or presence of an anhydrous solvent such as tolu ene at room temperature or under heating to effect dehydrative condensation reaction to give the compound of formula I.
