Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect anomaly in a supercharger accurately even under any driving status by operating a warning device in the case where a difference between supercharging pressure at the time of engine driving and the standard supercharging pressure is more than the specified value. CONSTITUTION:When an exhaust bypass device gets out of order, rotational speed of a turbine 4 abnormally increases and rotational speed of a compressor 6 increases, supercharging pressure detected by a pressure detector 10 becomes higher than the standard pressure. Since an abnormal signal is outputted from a microcomputer 11, an alarm lamp 12 is lighted. When an exhaust turbosupercharger is deteriorated, an air quantity to be fed to an engine is decreased. Since the supercharging pressure detected by the supercharging pressure detector 10 becomes lower than the standard pressure, even in this case, the microcomputer 11 outputs abnormal signal so that the alarm lamp 12 is lighted.
