Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive at improvement in startability by connecting an interval between a starting fuel storage chamber installed separately from a float chamber of a carburetor and a suction passage via a fuel pump and a control valve. CONSTITUTION:A float chamber 4 is installed at the side of a carburetor body 1, and a starting fuel storage chamber 20 is installed adjacently to this float chamber 4. In addition, separating from this starting fuel storage chamber 20, there are provided with a fuel priming pump chamber 24 and a pressure- receiving chamber 25, and an interval between the pump chamber 24 and a suction passage 2 is connected via a control valve 40. This valve 40 has a starting fuel control passage 42, a starting air passage 43 and a starting air-fuel mixture passage 44 plus a control valve disc 45 to be driven by a wire 47. At the time of engine starting at low temperature, this control valve disc 45 is opened, and the fuel pump 24 is operated by pulsating pressure of a crankcase, thereby supplying a mixture of starting fuel and air. With this constitution, startability is improvable.
