Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain proper exposure in trimming photography by providing a correcting means which calculates a photometry value without using brightness information on a light receiving area except an enlarged print area. CONSTITUTION:Object field light is image-formed on the light receiving part 6 through an image forming lens 5 and measured by photosilicon diodes corresponding to respective areas formed by dividing the light receiving surface of the light receiving part 6 into (m) pieces vertically and (n) pieces horizontally, i.e. (m)X(n) pieces of areas. Here, a trimming setting means sets the size to which a screen is trimmed in its right-left direction and (m) pieces of brightness information corresponding to 1st, 2nd...(n)th rows respectively are processed to generate output voltages V1, V2,...Vn. Then a trimming setting means 21 sets size to which the screen is trimmed in its vertical direction and the voltages V1, V2,...Vn are processed to generate an output voltage V0 corresponding to a photometry value when the screen is trimmed in the horizontal and vertical directions. Thus, photometry value arithmetic operation wherein brightness information on the object field area which is judged not to be necessary in printing is not added is carried out.
