Abstract

PURPOSE:To register and update the stored data at any position of plural scattered positions by providing a controller to each device to automatically register and update the data stored in its own device in response to the code of a communication message transmitted through a communication circuit. CONSTITUTION:An electronic balance includes a weight detecting part 1 which weighs the commodities, an A/D converter 2 which converts the detected analog weighing signal into the digital one, an arithmetic control part 3 employing a microcomputer, etc., a display part 4, a printer 5, a memory part 6, a key input part 7, etc. The electronic balance of such constitution is connected to a bus line 8 and the information are updated among respective balances. Each balance monitors the information on the line 8 and fetches the data if necessary for its own use to automatically register the data into the part 6 or to update it. Thus it is possible to register and update the stored data at any of plural scattered positions.
