Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent mis-diagnosis due to the occurrence of percolation by starting trouble diagnosis for an air-fuel ration control system in the lapse of a fixed time after the engine temperature becomes lower than a designated value. CONSTITUTION:In a system for controlling the air-fuel ratio of air-fuel mixture supplied from a carburetor 3 to a target value using a signal of an O2 sensor 13 disposed in an exhaust passage, there is provided an engine temperature sensor 100, and in the lapse of a fixed time after the engine temperature becomes lower than a preset temperature, trouble discriminating means 101 is operated. Thus, mis-diagnosis due to the occurrence of percolation can be prevented.
