Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an accurate pressurizing set value, by measuring the amplitude of a differential waveform due to the time of a pulse wave appearing during the stoppage of pressurization and estimating a blood pressure value from the change to cuff pressure to automatically determine the pressurizing set value. CONSTITUTION:When a cuff 1 is wound around an arm and a pressure switch 10 is turned ON, a solenoid valve 5 is closed and a pressure pump 4 is started. When cuff pressure reaches 100mmHg, the pump stops for a definite time. A CPU 8 takes in a cuff pressure instantaneous value at every definite time Tw and calculates the time differential valve (Dn) of pressure at a time tn and further extracts a pulse wave differential amplitude value. The cuff pressure instantaneous value Pn corresponding to a point before the pulse wave differential value Dn exceeds 4mmHg/sec is set to the cuff pressure to this pulse wave. Cuff pressure Pp maximizing amplitude is calculated and the optimum pressurizing set value Po is calculated and the pressure pump 4 is driven. When the cuff 1 is pressurized to the pressurizing set value, the driving of the pressure pump 4 is stopped and blood pressure measuring processing is taken under a slow speed discharge state due to a slow speed discharge valve 6.
