Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve operation stability by correcting a reference steering ratio determined according to a car velocity by steering speed, and determining the target steering of a rear wheel by the corrected steering ratio and steering angle to turn the rear wheel. CONSTITUTION:A micro-computer 30 reads a car velocity from car velocity sensors 20FL-20RR and determines a reference steering ratio R. Secondly, a steering speed output from a steering speed sensor 15 is input to determine a correction factor and compute a correction steering ratio by multiplying the reference steering ratio by the correction factor. Next, steering speed components are obtained from the steering speed. Subsequently, steering of front and rear wheels is input from output of a steering sensor 14 and multiplied by a correction steering ratio to calculate the target steering of the front and rear wheels. After that, a deviation between a detection signal of the rear wheel steering sensor 24 and the target steering is computed to obtain steering components. The steering components and the steering speed components are added to determine steering force, which is output to a driving circuit 28. Thus, the operation stability can be improved.
