Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the title compsn. of low cost which has excellent flowability and stability, by mixing together a powdery carbonaceous solid, a particular water-soluble copolymer, a stabilizer and water. CONSTITUTION:A polyalkylene glycol mono (meth) acrylate monomer (a) of formula I [wherein R is H, or methyl, X is a C2-4 alkylene; n is 1-100 on the average, and Y is H, or a C1-30 (cyclo) alkyl, (cyclo) alkenyl, aryl, aryl- substd. alkyl, or monovalent org. group derived from a heterocyclic compd.], a sulfoacrylate monomer (b) of formula II [wherein Z is a C1-4 alkyl; and M is H, an alkali (alkaline earth) metal, an ammonium, or an amine base group], and a copolymerizable monomer other than the above are copolymerized in a molar ratio of 8 a to b of 1:5-500, thereby obtaining a water-soluble copolymer (B) having an (a+b) content of 50mol% or higher and an MW of 1000-500,000. Then, 40-90wt.% (hereinafter %) powdery carbonaceous solid (A) (e.g., coal), 0.01-5% (based on coal) component (B), 0.0001-2% (based on coal) stabilizer (C) composed of at least one member selected from a clay mineral, a polysaccharide and a polyacrylic acid (salt), and 10-60% water (D) are mixed together.
