Abstract

PURPOSE: To vertically move the whole pressers by a simple mechanism only by vertically moving the end presser by connecting presser holders of adjoining presser apparatuses by rocking levers. CONSTITUTION: In a presser apparatus in which a base plate 3 taken by a carriage along a track 4 installed above between a pair of needle beds is movably provided with a number of holders 7a and 7b and pressers 6a and 6b are attached to the tips of the holders 7a and 7b and the adjoining pressers 6a and 6b are laid in the mutually opposite directions, rocking levers 9 and 12 are axially supported between the pressers 6a and 6b. The holders 7a and 7b are engaged with both the ends of the rocking levers. Consequently the whole pressers 6a and 6b are vertically moved only by the vertically moving the end presser 6a.
